surely Allah will not change the condition of a people until they change
their own condition.

Help To Reduce Poverty Around The Globe
What Islam says about poverty?
Justice - Muslims believe Allah does not intend poverty for people. They recognise the responsibility to redress the balance where there is poverty, and for a just distribution of the wealth which they believe Allah has created.
Poverty is the state of not having enough material possessions or income for a person’s basic needs.
Poverty may include social, economic, and political elements.
Absolute poverty is the complete lack of
the means necessary to meet basic personal needs, such as food, clothing, and shelter.
The floor at which absolute poverty is defined is always about the same, independent of the person’s permanent location or the time they live in. On the other hand, relative poverty occurs when a person cannot meet a minimum level of
living standards, compared to others in the some time and place.
“Wealth converts a strange land into
home land and poverty turns a native place into a strange land”. - Nahjul Balagha.
“If poverty were a man, I would have slain him.” - Imam Ali (A.S)
